Episode 09 – Best of 2011
Val and Mike and Annie and Janaki argue about the year’s best and worst films. (And if you had anything to do with making Dragonslayer, you’re going to dig this episode.) As usual, feel free to drop by iTunes and write a review for our podcast. Or drop us a line. We’re going to start responding to listener feedback soon. Really. We are.
Episode 08 – Muppets vs Hugo
Mike teaches a lesson in Muppet history. Val compares Hugo to Three’s Company. And we debate whether Animal is an animal or a very hairy person. It’s a good episode.
Episode 7 – Twi Harder
Join Mike, Val and Annie as they discuss the merits of a shirtless Taylor Lautner and the latest film in the Twilight series. It’s guaranteed to enlighten Twi-hards and the merely Twi-curious alike. Feel free to review us on Itunes too. (Especially if you’re with Team Jacob.)
Episode 06 – Supersized Star Wars Episode
Enjoy this very special episode filled with crackpot theories and misguided nostalgia about the Star Wars films. As always, feel free to drop by iTunes and write a review for our podcast.
Episode 05 – Flyway Film Festival
Last weekend, we attended the truly lovely Flyway Film Festival in Pepin & Stockholm, Wisconsin. We had a great time riding bikes and eating pie. Oh, and we also saw some movies. If you’re enjoying this little podcasting experiment, feel free to leave us a review on iTunes. Or email us. We like feedback.
Episode 04 – Movies About Cars
This week, we talk a lot about Senna and Drive, a little bit about Fast Five and not at all about Cars or Cars 2. If you’re enjoying this podcast, please write a review for us on iTunes. Unless you’re going to say mean things about us. Because that’s just hurtful.
Episode 03 – South Dakota Film Festival
We took a road trip to Aberdeen for the South Dakota Film Festival. Then we talked about mumblecore. (A lot.) And our podcast is now available to download for free on iTunes! So that’s pretty neat.
Episode 2 – Fright Night
In our second podcast, we cover everything you need to know about film history–from Fright Night (1985) to Fright Night (2011). We also spend a couple of minutes talking about Trollhunter (2010). And the Count from Sesame Street (who is timeless).
Episode 1 – Attack the Block
Hello Free Rangers and farm animals! Not only do we organize a hit film festival, we now do a podcast! Since the organizers of the Free Range Film Festival like to argue about movies on a regular basis, we decided to record those arguments for your enjoyment. We’ll also talk about other film-related goodness and as the festival draws near, we’ll highlight films we plan to showcase. So check back frequently for fresh episodes as we hope to make this a weekly feature. And feel free to share any feedback about the podcast with your host, Valerie Coit.
